Ron and I had a long conversation today about brakes including a spirited discussion around ceramics. Since I raced open wheel cars just after college I know stopping power is often the key when racing on a road course, particularly a track like Sears Point (now Infineon Raceway). My plan was to do some weekend track time and after a lot of discussion we decided to go with the Brembo GTR Brake System. This is a serious upgrade to the current brakes and now if it isn’t strapped down when I hit the brakes it is likely to become a permanent part of the windshield.
